These gluten free “Twix Bars” are so easy to make and taste delicious! If you’re craving something sweet these are perfect for you and guilt free since they’re gluten free, refined sugar free and can be made dairy free/vegan!

These gluten free, refined-sugar free "Twix Bars" are so easy to make and a great snack or sweet treat!

  1. Add the dates to a bowl and cover with hot water, set aside for about 10 minutes or until they're softened.

  1. In another bowl, mix together the almond and oat flour, maple syrup and milk of choice. Press the mixture into a loaf pan or other small container lined with parchment paper. Make sure to press it down tightly.

  1. Drain the water from the dates and add them to a blender, add in the milk and blend to make the caramel layer. 

  1. Spread the caramel onto the cookie base and place in the freezer to set for at least an hour.

  1. Melt the chocolate chips in a shallow bowl. Dip each bar in chocolate and fully coat. Place on a plate or tray lined with parchment paper and put back in the fridge or freezer to set.
