HEALTHY GLUTEN-FREE MCDONALDS CHICKEN NUGGETS RECIPE

gluten free McDonalds Chicken nuggets

A super easy, healthier, gluten free nugget the whole family will love! I prefer to air fry because it’s much healthier than frying, but if you don’t have an air fryer and would prefer to fry then you can do so in avocado oil.

I really prefer making my own versions of popular foods. I love food but I don’t love not knowing where it comes from or the fact that it is likely cooked in inflammatory oils like safflower, sunflower or any seed oils. This is an easy, fun way for you and/or your kiddos to get the fun crunch of a McDonalds nugget without all the yucky stuff.

LET’S START:

INGREDIENTS:

1 package ground chicken breast

1 egg

1 tsp salt

1/2 cup corn flour

Batter:

1/2 cup flour

2 tbsp Cornstarch

1/2 cup water

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp Black pepper

1 tosp mustard paste or mustard seed

1/2 tsp salt

STEPS:

  1. Mix together the ground chicken, egg, salt and corn flour.

  2. Form into nuggets and place on a baking sheet and freeze for an hour or two.

  3. Dip the nuggets in the batter and place on greased air fryer. Spray the top with cooking spray to make sure it crisps up.

  4. Air fry at 400F for about 25 minutes, but check and make sure they’re cooked through.

  5. Enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce
