gluten free spaghetti

This is a staple in our household, we make this recipe about once a week. We change up the veggies and protein, but it’s such an easy way to get in some veggies and it’s guaranteed the whole family will love. Leave out the onions if your kids aren’t into them. We also change up the noodles from spaghetti to penne to spirals, any pasta shape you can think of!

Sometimes we’ll sub the chicken sausage for ground turkey or chicken. You can also of course do ground beef or tofu or leave out the meat altogether. You can also add lentils to make it a vegan bolognese. 

I guarantee you this will be an easy recipe in your arsenal that you go back to again and again. It’s great for busy moms because you can realistically thrown in any veggies or proteins you have or even use up leftovers to make it. Thank me later 😉



-Broccoli, chopped fine if you’re hiding it from the kids
-Zucchini, chopped fine
-1 Onion
– Gluten free (or regular pasta)
-1 jar of marinara sauce
-1 package of chicken sausage


  1. First sautee veggies in a separate pan with avocado or olive oil. Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder.

  2. Prepare your noodles per package instructions (do this before you start prepping veggies for time.

  3. Add sautéed veggies to your cooked noodles and heat your sausage til browned.

  4. Add sausage to pot.

  5. Add your marinara sauce.

  6. Top with Parmesan and fresh lemon if you like!
