mood boosting activities

You know that I love sharing all my life hacks and wellness routines, so of course I’m going to share my quick and easy ways to lift your spirits and boost your mood! My go-to pick me ups to feel more positive and energized are getting in a good cold plunge, grounding in nature, taking a walk outside, dipping into my arsenal of Madison Charles essential oils and of course sweating it out! Here are five simple techniques that can help you turn your day around and bring a smile to your face in no time.

If you’re feeling sluggish or down, a cold plunge can be a great way to invigorate your body and mind. Whether you take a cold shower, splash cold water on your face, or even immerse yourself in a cold body of water, the shock of the cold can stimulate your nervous system and increase alertness. The rush of adrenaline and endorphins released during a cold plunge can help improve your mood and leave you feeling refreshed and revitalized. I’ve been using this great portable tub from Lifepro to get in my morning cold plunge.

GROUNDING

One of the simplest and most effective ways to boost your mood is by grounding yourself in nature. Take off your shoes and walk barefoot on the grass or soil. This practice, also known as earthing, can help you connect with the Earth’s energy and feel more balanced and centered. The sensation of the grass beneath your feet can be incredibly grounding and calming, helping you to feel more present and at peace.

WALKING OUTSIDE

Stepping outside and going for a walk, even just around the block, can do wonders for your mood. The fresh air, natural light, and change of scenery can help clear your mind and lift your spirits. Walking has been shown to reduce stress, boost mood, and increase energy levels. So lace up your shoes, head outside, and enjoy the benefits of a simple stroll in nature.

ESSENTIAL OILS

Essential oils can be a powerful tool for improving mood and promoting relaxation. That’s why part of my mood boosting routine involves using my Madison Charles essential oil rollers. Believe it or not, the Calm roller not only helps keep you feeling cool and collected with calming notes of lavender, rose, orange, jasmine, ylang ylang, but it also helps to boost your mood! The Breathe roller made with a mix of Peppermint and Lavender essential oils will wake up your senses and really clear those sinuses and give you a boost. The powerful Zen roller is de-stressing and will not only help you to relax, but also to uplift your mood.

SWEATING IT OUT

Exercise is a well-known mood booster, thanks to the endorphins released during physical activity. Whether you prefer a high-intensity workout or a gentle yoga session, breaking a sweat can help reduce stress, improve mood, and increase feelings of well-being. So get moving, whether it’s dancing to your favorite song, going for a run, practicing some yoga poses or getting in a Lagree workout, your body and mind will thank you for it!
