As many of you know we had the Daytime Emmy’s last night but before we get into the fun stuff like the makeup, fashion and the awards themselves there’s the prep! I believe the most important step in achieving flawless makeup is your skin prep. I can always tell the difference in the final result. Things like diet and staying hydrated are really important in the days leading up to the event (and just to feel good in general) but the products you use make the world of a difference!

Here is what I did to prep my skin.

STEP 1. FACE MASK

Then night before,  I did a mask using Sunday Riley’s Good Genes (this can be a daily treatment you leave on your skin but due to my skin sensitivity I use it as a mask) This product is a miracle worker! It tightens and gives your skin a glow like I have never experienced before! I am a huge fan of this product.

The morning of, I make sure to drink a good amount of water. I then wash my face with IS Clinical cleansing complex and then tone with Control Corrective Toner

My new miracle eye depuffer is Summer Fridays Jet lag Mask. This is a miracle mask you can use all over your face but I just use it under my eyes. If you follow me on Instagram then you might’ve seen this on my stories. I was filming The Bold Type in Canada and was working off very little sleep. This mask hydrates and somehow takes down puffiness like no other mask I have ever used! It’s so good they can’t keep it in stock at Sephora! I use this before applying my regular Sunday Rileys Auto Correct eye cream

This next step is a game changer. I don’t know how this product works but it tightens, brightens and gives your skin that extra glow. BRAD Biophotonic Ultra Elastin Lift serum just works some serious magic.

For my final step before I start my makeup, I apply a really hydrating moisturizer. Embryolisse is my favorite for under makeup because it also can act as a primer. It adds the perfect amount of hydration without making you greasy (or in my case breaking me out) a lot of makeup artists use this in their kits and it’s been my secret weapon!

This is my pre red carpet skin prep! What do you guys think? Would you try any of these products? Comment below and let me know!
