For the Emmy’s this year, I asked you all on Instagram to vote on the direction I should head in. I wear black a lot on the carpet as I find it to be classic and elegant. This year however, I wanted to go with color and so many of you voted for it. I ended up choosing this gorgeous mermaid gown by Zac Posen. I reconnected with my stylist Jessica Paster for this and I couldn’t have been more thrilled with the result! We paired this gown with a gold clutch and shoes by Jimmy Choo and stunning jewelry by Lorraine Schwartz. I seriously felt like a princess!!
For hair I did something I have never done before… extensions!!! It was so much fun to be able to change up my look like this. Having extra hair to play with opens up a whole new world!! My hairstylist Matthew Holman added these extensions to give me a long sleek look but still keeping it pretty simple since the dress had more going on.
For makeup, Brittany Howard and I decided to go with with a more dramatic eye and this was definitely my favorite makeup we have ever done! (A whole breakdown will be coming to the blog in the next day or so!)
So what do you guys think of the final look? We had so much fun celebrating everyones hard work this year! Darin and I are so proud to be a part of this community of people that put their hearts and souls into the work every single day.
